Richard Simmons joined the London office of UHY Hacker Young in 1980, having qualified as a chartered accountant with a major international accounting firm. He became a partner in the audit department in 1984 and worked on flotations, acquisitions and mergers.
Richard joined the Brighton office of UHY Hacker Young in 1992 where he is a general practice partner looking after a large client portfolio as well as advising on public company flotations.
He has served on several committees of the South Eastern Society of Chartered Accountants and was the Chairman of the Brighton and Central Sussex Group of Chartered Accountants.
Richard is chairman of West Hove Golf club and is a season ticket holder at Brighton & Hove Albion.
Richard's wife Ruth is a pharmacist with Boots the Chemist. Their elder daughter Kaz is a jazz singer and their younger daughter Debbie is an actress.
